Recently, BLCU Publishing House held a book donation ceremony to Kumubage Village in Hetian, Xinjiang. The book donation ceremony was simple and warm. The arrival of donated books marks the official establishment of the library jointly built by Beijing Language and Culture University publishing house and the local village Committee. Hetian TV station “Yudu News”also reported the event.
The BLCU publishing house carries out activities of donating books to help students and serving the society every year. In November 2018, the party headquarters of the publishing house issued a book donation initiative“Delivering Love Books to spread warmness” to the staff of the whole society based on the local needs learned from the village working group in Kumubage Village, Jiya Town, Hetian City, Xinjiang. The initiative received a positive response from the staff. During the donation process, the Party General Branch organized the editor from the bilingual department to conduct political checks on the content and highlight the practical requirements. Through personal donations and social collection, 1435 books and some stationery items were collected.
